Wedding Photography Pageant House Warwick | Megan & Tim

At the end of July, I photographed the wedding of Megan & Tim, who got married at the Pageant House registry office in Warwick. I have provided the wedding photography for many weddings at Warwick Registry Office but even though I have been then many times, each wedding is always different and the feel of the images different each time.

When I first met Megan & Tim they shared the same laid-back attitude that I have myself, agreeing that it is important to capture such a day as getting married, but they didn't want all the pomp and expense of hiring a grand wedding venue, which I can completely understand, but they did have all the trimmings such as a wedding car, formal attire and a venue for afterwards that was their local village hall.

It was a small wedding of their nearest and dearest which is perfect for the Pageant House in Warwick, after the simple ceremony we headed into the gardens for some informal photos and some group pictures.

After this Megan and Tim headed off in their Austin 18 Windsor wedding car,  they said that they wanted some photos with the car somewhere between Warwick and the reception venue, the only place I could think of was a stretch of road nearby where there are no hedges either side of the road. I thought this would make a nice location with good light. With the location given to the driver of the wedding car, I raced off to get my car and then to beat them to it which I did buy a good five minutes even with them having a 20-minute head start on me.

The weather on the day was sunny but very windy, we got some lovely pictures at this spot, but Tim is clearly struggling to keep his eyes open in the intense wind. After the photos had been done within five minutes of leaving it rained the first rain of July that went on for most of the rest of the day, but by this point, it was a short hop from the village hall car park to indoors so the rain did not matter.  I finished the day by taking some casual photos of the speeches and then the cutting of the cake.  It was an enjoyable day and lovely to see this couple tie the knot!
