Recently, I had the privilege of capturing conference photography for Alt, the Association for Learning Technology, as they celebrated their 30th Anniversary Conference at the impressive Oculus venue at Warwick University. Our role was to capture the essence of the event through photography, including the keynote speakers, the Gala Dinner held at the Slate on the university campus, and even providing headshots for the ALT staff to use on their website. It was an incredibly enjoyable experience with diverse photographic opportunities, and our ability to offer additional services such as headshot photography added even more value to our service for the ALT staff.

I had the opportunity to photograph a Corporate Golf Event for Gamma Telecoms annual Golf Event at The Warwickshire Golf Club in July of this year. Just like our conference photography service, the goal was to capture the essence of the event and also to capture flattering portraits of the players as they played on the King's Course at the Club. These portraits would then be available for the players to download and share on LinkedIn with Gamma branding. To ensure I was well-prepared for this specific golf event, I conducted research on golf photography techniques, particularly focusing on capturing flattering portraits of golfers. Alongside the portraits, I also captured wide shots of the action on the fairways and various Gamma branding and flags around the club.

In September, another corporate event took place at Warwick Castle to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Lake Chemicals and Minerals. This was not my first time at the castle, as I had previously visited multiple times for wedding photography, including a stunning engagement shoot on Caesars Tower earlier in the year.

Warwick Castle provides a spectacular setting for any event, and the anniversary party for Lake was no exception. The organizers had arranged to hold the party in the Great Hall, which presented some challenges for event photography due to its low lighting. However, by incorporating additional lighting, we were able to capture the event and speakers flawlessly.

To kick off the evening, the guests were welcomed at the Castle Gates by the Knights of Middle England, a medieval reenactment group who portrayed gallant knights in shining armor, leading the attendees into the Castle. Once inside, the guests were greeted by a delightful string quartet performing in the State Rooms before proceeding to the Awards Dinner.

For the grand finale of the evening, we planned to take a group photo of all the attendees outside. Unfortunately, the unpredictable British weather forced us to relocate indoors. I selected the State Dining room for this purpose, as its lofty ceilings and pristine white walls provided the perfect backdrop for effective lighting. Despite the limited space within the room filled with guests, I managed to capture the desired shot using an ultra wide lens. Warwick Castle provided a stunning setting for the anniversary party of Lake. Despite the challenge of the Great Hall being quite dark for event photography, we were able to capture the event and speakers perfectly with the help of additional lighting.
