Warwick Castle Wedding Photography

Warwick Castle Wedding Photography

On the 1st June 2022, I captured the wedding photography of Christian and Hannah at Warwick Castle, the ceremony though was at St Mary Immaculate Catholic Church on West Street. Warwick Castle was the venue for the evening drinks and reception. I love June weddings, the long days, the endless the summer vibe, June is my favourite month of the year for any activity let alone weddings.  On this day we were blessed with dappled sun shine which shone and pooled through the church windows and lit up the scene at Warwick Castle.

I was booked for half day coverage, therefore the photography started at St Mary Immaculate I arrived to meet Christian who was getting prepared in the Church. Hannah was getting ready in the Church hall next door but by the time I arrived she was outside ready to enter, I was able to take some photos of the interior and some detail shots before the ceremony started.  Once the rituals began, it was very interesting to watch the Catholic ceremony, which I have only witnessed a few times.  I very much enjoyed capturing this part of the day.

After the ceremony finished we did a confetti line up outside the front of the Church on West Street, confetti is always a good shot in my opinion, after this everybody except the Christian and Hannah walked to the Castle via the back lanes of Warwick.  Once we had all arrived for drinks in the Peacock Garden, Christian, and Hannah arrived in their wedding car. This was an opportunity for some photos before they met up with everyone else. After allowing time for drinks we proceeded with the group photography, there was also lots of opportunity for candid photos with the swords etc provided by the Master of Ceremonies James from Events from History.

The peacocks of the Castle also photo bombed here and there, afterward we headed to the Great Hall inside the Castle for the reception, whilst taking a few couple photos on route.

The Great Hall of Warwick Castle is a spectacular venue perched high on the castle walls overlooking the River Avon.  I have covered a few weddings at Warwick Castle now, and it is nice to see familiar faces such as the staff and DJs etc.  Whilst everybody had their food, I then rejoined the party for the speeches, followed quickly by the cutting of the cake and finally the first dance.

After this we went out into the Castle grounds for a last few portraits, and then it was for me the end of an excellent day capturing wedding photography.
