Wedding Photographers Stratford Upon Avon

On the 8th May, I captured Lucy & Daniel's wedding photography at the Alveston Manor in Stratford-upon-Avon.  I did an engagement shoot for these guys about six weeks before, a blog post can be found here. For the engagement shoot the weather was cold wind with hail storms, for the wedding day it was a gloriously windless sunny day in Stratford-upon-Avon.

I was only booked for a few hours because of their budget, and it was a small wedding. I arrived at the Hotel to find Daniel in the garden chatting with guests and Lucy finishing off getting ready in the bridal suite. Lucy was incredibly nervous, but her mum was on hand to calm her down and my arrival helped as she knew everything was on schedule.

I took a few photos of Lucy before heading down into the ceremony room to capture her arrival into the room, by this point everyone was relaxed and calm.  Daniel was waiting patiently at the head of the room, ready to meet his stunning bride. The service went very smoothly. I took candid photos throughout and the classic sighing of the register photo at the end before the bride and groom caught a glass of champagne in the foyer of the hotel.  The guest gathered outside for the confetti line up, with minimal input from me, which was nice.

The confetti photos were hilarious, mostly because of Daniel's expression and his hair flopping about (I remember that he told me at the engagement shoot, his hair, and beard were both products of lockdown) me being someone that can't grow a beard and who has a receding hair line I am very impressed with his hair growing skills. After the confetti, we went off for some bridal portraits.

There is an impressive wisteria plant growing on a wall in the garden we did some photos by that, then we went out of the front of the hotel before heading briefly to the river and then back to the hotel for family group photos and then finally a photo of everyone.

It was another enjoyable wedding, at the time I remember thinking how lucky we were with the weather, little did I know how hot the summer of 2022 was going to be.
