Commercial Photography Warwickshire

A recent commercial photography assignment was to photograph new church seating manufactured by a company based in Ireland for the collegiate Church of St Mary in Warwick, Warwickshire. This was the first time this company had hired a professional photographer, up to now they have done all of the photography for their website themselves using mobile phones, which is ok but mobile phone pictures often look flat and lack the detail and resolution compared to what a photographer can achieve and if you want your product to look its best via a photo it is a good idea to use the best quality means of capturing it, which isn't a mobile phone.

I know this Church very well, I often go in for a wander and admire its wonderous interior, also I was recently employed to photograph the church choir for their marketing material which was a fantastic opportunity to listen to the choir exclusively to myself and it was an evening rehearsal which gave the experience an extra dimension.

Anyway, back to the church seating, I know St Marys has great ambience inside when the sun comes out, therefore, I planned my visit to coincide with some sunny weather, booking a week in advance with the church I was pleasantly surprised the forecast was bang on. Nice bright sunshine to complement the church interior and also the seating.

I had to do commercial photography between 8.00 and 10.00 am which was plenty of time, but it is surprising how fast the time flies whilst you are busy photographing from different angles and I also created some wide panoramas to capture the interior which does take time to capture accurately.

The finished result for my client was a selection of images for the manufacturer to choose from, its fair to say that they were very impressed with the quality and detail of the images not only capturing their seating but also the magnificence of the church interior that the seats were designed to compliment.  All in all, it was a very enjoyable job.
