Megan & Will Wedding at The Henley Room
Back in April, I captured the wedding of Megan & Will in Stratford-upon-Avon, they got married at The Henley Room, I have been to the Henley Room many times, it is the busiest registry office in Warwickshire. The day was a gorgeous spring day and unusually warm. I was booked for half day wedding photography coverage, therefore, I met everyone at the Henley Room. Will arrived first, who was a little nervous, followed by family and friends and finally Megan.
Depending on the time of day and the time of year, the sun shines into the Henley Room, illuminating the room. With a start time of 3 pm, the sun was just in the right place at points to add a bit of extra light to the room.
The registrars did an amazing job to mark the occasion, as usual, and soon after we were outside and on our way to riverside for the photos. When we arrived close to the RSC it rained heavily, but luckily we were able to shelter in the RSC. After the rain had stopped, we headed to besides the river for some group photography followed by confetti and then a few couple portraits before heading to The Woodsman Restaurant. Inside the restaurant, Will and Megan had decorated the room in a country style wedding theme, with lots of flowers on the table and decorations on the walls.
Whilst everyone settled down into the evening meal, I had a break and then before the speeches and dancing we headed out onto the streets of Strafford at dusk to capture some portraits. It was great to be out in the streets with some light in the evening after the dark winter, my favourite shots were around the windmill pub and along the street by the Guild Hall.
After this we returned to the Woodsman for the speeches and then the cutting of the cake and finally some dancing. It was a very enjoyable wedding where captured some nice relaxed photography.
