Wootton Park Wedding Photographer – Lauren and Ryan’s Day

As a busy Warwickshire wedding photographer, I get to work at all the best wedding venues in Warwickshire and this is certainly the case when I return to capture wedding photography at Wootton Park.  Lauren and Ryan chose the perfect location for their late summer wedding.

Wootton Park is an exclusive use barn wedding venue that sits in 360 acres of rolling Warwickshire countryside.  It has a stunning outdoor lakeside ceremony area that and luxury accommodation for guest.  But I’m getting ahead of myself.  I’ll get back to all the reasons why I love capturing wedding photography at Wootton Park later.  Let’s start at the beginning of Lauren and Ryan’s day.

I first met these two when I captured their pre wedding photoshoot at Lauren’s Beaver groups hut and grounds in Solihull.  Lauren is a Beaver Leader and we spent a fun hour capturing some great images of the two of them.  My full day package includes a complimentary pre-wedding photoshoot, and it gave me, Lauren and Ryan a chance to get to know each other and for them to get comfortable with me photographing them before the big day.

On the day, I woke to blazing sunshine and headed over to Wootton Park to catch up with the wedding parties.  I started by taking a couple of images of the outdoor lakeside ceremony area all dressed and ready to go.  It looked amazing.  I then went looking for Ryan and his grooms party who were getting ready in Wootton Park’s allocated grooms’ area that has its own dart board and pool table.  Ryan and his grooms party were making full use of the facilities and were in good spirits.

I then headed over to the bridal preparation area to catch up with Lauren and her bridal party.  I say bridal party, they felt more like an army.  There were so many of them!  I got some fun images of the girls in their co-ordinated robes enjoying a glass of bubbly outside.

The state-of-the-art bridal preparation area at Wootton Park is a real favourite with us Warwickshire wedding photographers.  Light and spacious it can easily accommodate the entire bridal party, a make up artist, a hairstylist and one very unobtrusive Warwickshire wedding photographer!

Lauren was in the capable hands of professional make-up artist Gemma Clarke.  Lauren got ready extra early for the wedding, as she wanted to visit her grandmother in a local care home before the ceremony.

Lauren looked absolutely stunning in her dress that she bought at Annabel Sarah Bridal Boutique.  It had a plunging neckline, exquisite lace detailing and a stunning layered ballgown skirt that gave Lauren a wonderful fairy-tale bride silhouette.   And she beamed all day long (Us Warwickshire wedding photographers do love a smiley bride!)

Lauren’s dress was complimented by a beautiful bouquet of flowers in soft pinks and blues with green foliage.  It was the clever creation of the people at The Wedding House who did all of the flowers and the styling for Lauren and Ryan’s day.

I accompanied Lauren to the care home and captured some really lovely images of her with her grandparents.  It’s always moving to see couples removing barriers so that everybody dear to them can be a part of their wedding day.  And I felt honoured to be trusted to capture the moment.

By this time, everybody was ready for the ceremony.  Lauren’s bridesmaids looked elegant in blush pink dresses and she had a sweet flower girl in white, and two adorable page boys in light grey shorts with braces and pink bow ties.   I got some great images of the bridal party before heading off to the ceremony.

It’s always lovely working with other professionals in the wedding industry, and this is never more so the case when I work with photographer Bethany Quinn who was acting as my second shooter on the day. Beth captured some great images of Ryan and his grooms party getting ready, dressed and ready to go.  They all looked very smart in light grey blue three-piece suits, with pink ties and brown brogue shoes.

The outdoor wedding ceremony took place by the lakeside and Lauren was walked down the aisle by her lovely mum.  Lauren and Ryan took their vows under a pretty wooden arbour with their guests seated in rows behind them.  It was a really special ceremony that included a lovely reading by one of the bridesmaids.

After the ceremony, came one of my favourite moments of Lauren and Ryan’s wedding and that was the Beaver Scout Guard of honour.  It was adorable, here take a look!

This was followed by a fun confetti moment which was a joy to capture, and then I took my chance to get some group shots.  As guests happily mingled and soaked up the sunshine.  I quickly whisked Lauren and Ryan away for a few minutes for a romantic photoshoot around the beautiful gardens and grounds of Wootton Park.

One thing I learned about Lauren and Ryan is that when it comes to fun, they take it really seriously.  They weren’t taking any chances and booked an inflatable slide (that was as popular with the adults as it was the children) garden games and an illustrator.  And guests played hard whilst enjoying their reception drinks in the garden.

The wedding breakfast was held in Wootton Park’s gorgeous events room that has a high oak beamed ceiling, exposed red brick walls, an oak floor and a beautifully draped ceiling.  Tables were dressed in crisp white linen and chairs were dressed in gorgeous blush pink sashes.  It looked amazing.  Guests were seated first so that Lauren and Ryan could enter to rapturous applause.

Before the food, there was a surprise for Ryan who had no idea that Singing Waiters had been booked.  They went down a storm and I got some fantastic candid images of everybody singing, dancing and waving their napkins in the air.

Then everybody enjoyed a sumptuous wedding breakfast prepared by Wootton Park’s talented team of in-house chefs.  This was followed by some very well received speeches.

Evening celebrations started with cutting of a gorgeous two-tiered wedding cake before Lauren and Ryan took to the dancefloor for a romantic first dance.  This was followed by some very impressive formation dancing performed by the entire wedding party.

After the sunset, there was a fun sparkler moment.  I love sparklers at weddings.  They bring a bit of magic at a time in the day when you think all of the surprises are over.  They also make for fantastic wedding photos.  And as if this wasn’t enough, there were also giant marshmallows for guests to roast on an open fire.

I loved capturing Lauren and Ryan’s Wootton Park wedding.  They put fun at the centre of their day and it resulted in a wonderful wedding full of love and laughter.  Congratulations to Lauren and Ryan for getting married and creating such an amazing day.  I hope my images will enable you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
