Haseley Church Wedding Photography

In June, I found myself back at Haseley Church for the late spring wedding of Laura and Charles. Haseley Church is one of my favourite churches, simply because of its intimate feel and it's one of the few that is only lit by candlelight.

On the day it was dry, to begin with, and then a few scattered showers here and there but luckily the most severe downpour happened whilst we were in the church for the ceremony turning the interior light to what felt like an evening wedding.

Also, whilst this downpour was happening I heard a group of ramblers approaching to shelter from the rain in the church, luckily I was able to tell them not to come in with hand signals before they reached the door. . I would have thought it would be obvious to them judging by the cars outside that something was going on!

After the ceremony ended so did the rain to allow for photos outside of the church after which we headed to Shrewley for the reception, held in a marquee. Again the sun came out for the drinks reception but as the rain started again it was time for the wedding breakfast.

That was the last downpour with the sun coming out for the rest of the afternoon and evening. It was the first more normal wedding of the season with the restrictions lifted only a few days before. A fun wedding.
