April Pageant House Wedding Photography

This winter we've been blessed with mild weather, but last year even in April it was freezing. I remember this Pageant House wedding well, unfortunately at this point we were still in partial lockdown with pubs closed and only a few people were allowed to witness wedding ceremonies.  Therefore, the couple had arranged for only a small wedding to make up for their main wedding in France that was cancelled due to the Pandemic.

The first time I met the couple was when they crossed the threshold after getting married in the Pageant House and then meeting me with the rest of their guest in the garden.  They came straight out of the ceremony into a hail of confetti, greeted not only by their guests but also by their pet dog Nibbles, and the best man had also brought along his dog. After much congratulating and a few group photos, we then did some portraits before heading off to The Burton Dassett hills for some more photos there.

I have been to Burton Dassett many times, but this was the first time I had been into the woods.  Which apart from making a great backdrop for wedding photos, it was also a place to shelter from the freezing cold wind!
