Jamie & Amani Wedding Photography

Bride and groom in traditional Muslim dress stood in a doorway

On July 17th, 2021, I was privileged to conduct wedding photography for Jamie and Amani's wedding. I first met them when they were at their engagement shoot. They had arrived at my office, and we instantly hit it off. Our photography session went so well that we proceeded with booking my services for their wedding just months later.

This wedding was unique compared to what I have photographed in the past. Jamie and Amani's special day was influenced by both English and Muslim ambience and traditions. There were three parts to the wedding. For the first portion of the day, Jamie went to the mosque to follow a traditional Islamic ritual to allow him to become married to Amani. Back at the house, Amani and the female family members listed to the ceremony on the radio.

At home, I photographed Amani and her family getting ready. Then, for the second portion, Jamie and Amani joined each other again, dressing in traditional Islamic attire for the informal photos. As one of the hottest days of the year, I was impressed and stunned by the beauty of this wedding, complete with vivid colour schemes and not to mention the use of their garden for some more traditional photos. Both the bride and the groom not only looked gorgeous but they were also overjoyed on their special day.

We took photos of their wedding party together, but we headed to the registry office after beautiful pictures of the bride and groom. Beforehand, the wedding party all changed into traditional attire. Then, Jamie and Amani drove in style in a Rolls-Royce, and they proceeded to the registry office for the ceremony. Following this, we took photos in the garden and headed to their private booked room in Birmingham to finish the rest of the evening and celebrate the happy newly-weds.

If you are interested in Indian wedding photography, Birmingham has a few talented photographers, but I would be honoured and delighted to capture your special day. For more information, please contact me. I would be delighted to show you how I can capture the magic of your wedding for you to remember for years to come.
