Bride and groom greeting guests

On Saturday the 4th of September, I was hired as the wedding photographer to capture the beautiful wedding between Max and Lucy. As one of the first weddings available after lockdown, excitement was in the air for this harmonious union. It was palpable even before the ceremony began that day.

People were joyous at the church and the reception, and the weather matched the celebratory occasion! The weather was beautiful that day, and there were only a few clouds in the sky. Not a single threat of rain either, making for a hot, sunny day in late summer to make this a perfect day for a wedding. I couldn’t have imagined a better setting for such a great wedding.

At St. Giles Church, Bubbenhall, Coventry, Lucy and Max arrived to be joined together in marriage. Lucy was smiling in her beautiful white dress, carrying her fragrant bouquet. Dressed in his military uniform, Max also was in a celebratory mood and noticeably energetic. With the weather as sunny and hot as it was, guests did not waste time entering the church to watch the ceremony. Both bride and groom’s families were ecstatic and looked spectacular as they arrived to celebrate their loved ones on this September day.

After what could only be described as a perfect ceremony to celebrate Max and Lucy, it was time for the wedding party to depart and leave for the reception. As for the groom, Max is in the military, so the guard of honour was present to bid the happy couple well wishes upon leaving the church. It was quite a sight to see, and it was clear that this was a joyous celebration of Max and Lucy's love and the excitement of everyone coming together after the pandemic. This indeed was a beautiful community celebration of Lucy and Max's love.

Upon leaving the church, Max and Lucy hopped into the back of Lucy’s father’s car, looking precarious but excited for their reception. Following their beautiful wedding at St. Giles Church, Bubbenhall, Coventry, the wedding party travelled to the reception. Their day continued at a marque in the back of their parent's garden to follow up on what was a picturesque ceremony within the church.

Due to the excitement of the celebratory day and it being one of the first weddings in Warwickshire, the evening reception was filled with dancing, laughing, and joy. The bride, groom, and their families were joyous at the reception. As their wedding photographer, I was delighted to be able to capture such a beautiful day to celebrate love. However, it was also a fantastic way for both parties to come together after so much time apart.

If you are interested in wedding photography, Warwickshire has a few talented photographers, but I would be honoured and delighted to capture your special day.
