White Swan Wedding Photography, Warwickshire
On Friday, 18th February of 2022, I was asked to photograph the beautiful wedding of Marie and Matthew at the White Swan in Stratford-upon-Avon. As one of the oldest pubs in Stratford, it has been open to the public since 1450. As a cosy, traditional pub, it was an intimate, perfect place to shelter from the severe wind storm that had arrived that day. Storm Eunice, that, was so powerful it blew the pub door off its hinges in the morning before the wedding began!
Inside the pub, Marie and Matthew got ready. Marie wore a beautiful lace dress, complete with intricate details on the three-quarter sleeves, at the hem of the dress, and on the train of the dress. As Marie and her father made their way to the ceremony, the wedding party was all smiles inside the hall where it would take place. Matthew was wearing a suit that complemented his new bride’s gown.
Complete with exposed wooden beams and traditional décor, this beautiful hotel did add to the ambience and the joy of the entire celebration. This pub is also known for its Oak Room. It boasts a 16th-century mural preserved with a glass encasing to enjoy for many years. The pub is one most beautiful locations in Stratford-upon-Avon for wedding photography.
Following the ceremony, Marie and Matthew departed down the aisle, overjoyed and with their hands intertwined. The reception took place a short while later. The wedding celebration continued as Marie and Matthew's families honoured the new bride and groom, taking pictures and participating in the festivities. The speeches were very entertaining, not least because of Marie son’s very witty speech.
I highly recommend the White Swan as an excellent venue for a wedding reception in Stratford.
